Introducing Address Manager 2.1
Esri Canada is proud to announce the release of Address Manager 2.1, “Calcite Edition”. This release is a major update to Address Manager with a new user experience and user interface based on Esri’s Calcite Design System.
The Esri Canada Address Manager solution manages an inventory of civic addresses, road centre lines and boundaries while ensuring the accuracy, completeness and compatibility with NG9-1-1 GIS data requirements. As an integral part of an organization’s overall address and road centre line management life cycle, Address Manager optimizes the creation, maintenance and dissemination of authoritative civic addresses. Meet your service provider’s NG9-1-1 GIS data requirements by exporting data managed by Address Manager into an NG9-1-1 data model which you can then forward to your local service provider or aggregator.
Address Manager 2.1 is built on the Esri Calcite Design System and the most recent version of the Esri JS API 4.x. Address Manager 2.1 includes advanced configurator settings with an updated starter data model which includes strongly recommended layers including layers recommended by NENA, improved performance and can be deployed for:
- ArcGIS Online.
- ArcGIS Enterprise portal Feature Services.
- ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase Oracle.
- ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase Postgres.
- ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabase MS SQL Server.
When deployed for ArcGIS Online the app is hosted by Esri Canada. All your data resides in your ArcGIS Online organization. The benefit of a hosted option is that there’s no need to install updates in your infrastructure. As Esri Canada updates software with new releases or patches, your application refreshes with new updates.
Address Manager 2.1 includes:
- Creating and editing all NG9-1-1 layers, including:
- Address points.
- Road centre lines.
- Service boundaries.
- NENA recommended and strongly recommended features.
- Editors can be configured for any point/line/polygon feature or attribute table feature. This capability allows users to include any layer into their application.
- Add single address point.
- Fill parcels with address points.
- Fill buildings with address points.
- Place address points along a road segment.
- Place address points by constructing a polyline.
- Unit Editor: Add and update units to multi-story buildings in 2D and 3D. Support for addressing units for irregular shaped buildings.
- Editor tool to maintain the master road name index table.
- Update status tool to promote the status of features to active or retired.
- Feature and attribute table viewers.
- Measure tool 2D and 3D.
- Feature and attribute table viewer.
- Print tool.
- An updated starter data model aligned with NENA v2a GIS data model.
- Update the starter data model to include attributes and features required to meet your daily workflows.

Address Manager Configurator 2.1: Configurator creates and maintains instances of Address Manager. Leverage new attribute edit rules and the ability to configure both feature and attribute table editors. You can create as many instances of the Address Manager application as required, each with different rules and editor tools. For example, you can enable service boundary editors in one app and disable the same editor tools in another app instance.
Plans for future releases include auto-generate address ranges on road centre line.
- Split and merge road centre line.

- Maintain the alias road names table as per the NENA specification.
