How Esri Canada Support rebuilt a GIS post-cyberattack — piece by piece
It’s Friday, and an urgent email comes through to Esri Canada’s Support Team: a Canadian city’s entire geographic information system (GIS) is down following a cyberattack. They need Esri Canada’s help to rebuild—and fast.
Esri Canada enterprise support consultant Kristine Luangkhot was assigned to the case. Using her own unique problem-solving approach, which she compares to playing a certain well-known puzzle game, she fit pieces of information together under pressure and helped rebuild the municipality’s ArcGIS Enterprise system from the ground up. Not only did the customer benefit, but Kristine grew, too, by connecting different pieces of herself and uncovering her confidence in the face of crisis.
Through experiences like this, Kristine has grown into a trusted teacher and mentor within Esri Canada’s Support Team.
