K-12 educators: Get involved in the inaugural Student Story Map Competition

Esri Canada’s Education and Research Group is excited to announce our inaugural Student Story Map Competition! Find out how your students can enter to win one of our top three prizes. Educators have a chance to win a trip to the 2018 Esri Education Summit in San Diego, California in July.

Story maps are a great way to highlight a personal, local, regional or national topic in Canada. If your students have been creating story maps this year, why not submit their work to Esri Canada’s inaugural Student Story Map Competition? Your students can submit an existing story map or a new class project to the competition. Read the official contest rules and judging criteria for more information.

About the Author

Angela Alexander is a K-12 Education Specialist in the Esri Canada Education and Research group. She has over 15 years of experience working with educators across Canada. Angela focuses on producing geographic information system (GIS) and curriculum-specific resources, and conducting and creating custom workshops for educators. She manages the GIS Ambassador Program and is the Technical Chair for the annual Skills Ontario GIS competition. Angela also writes monthly posts for the Esri Canada Education and Research blog, highlighting K-12 educators and partners, new ArcGIS resources and GIS-related events.
