Streamlining Parcel Data Integration for Municipalities

Northern Rockies Regional Municipality and Clearwater have successfully streamlined how they ingest parcel mapping, assessment and financial data from authoritative sources. Read on to learn how this modernization has given them full control over their parcel mapping data helping ensure their information stays accurate and up to date.

Across Canada, municipalities depend on authoritative data such as parcel mapping, assessment and financial information to support planning, development, taxation and day-to-day decision-making. However, keeping this information up to date is not always easy, as updates often arrive in varying formats, at different intervals or require time-consuming manual steps to process.

Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) in British Columbia and Clearwater County in Alberta  both experienced these challenges firsthand. Each municipality needed a way to reliably integrate parcel mapping, assessment and financial data from multiple authoritative sources without bottlenecks, manual effort or risk of data inconsistencies.

To overcome these issues, both municipalities partnered with Esri Canada’s Land Information Solutions team to modernize and streamline their parcel data integration workflows. The result? More automation, greater control over their data, reduced reliance on third-party tools and a stronger foundation for delivering efficient municipal services.

We have shared the full story of their journey, including the challenges, solutions and lessons learned in our latest story. Take a look, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions about streamlining the integration of authoritative data in your own municipality!
