ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Version 3.x Retirement
ArcGIS API 3.x for JavaScript will be retired on July 1, 2024.
ArcMap Continued Support
ArcGIS 10.8.2 is the current release of ArcMap and will continue to be supported until March 1, 2026, as established in the ArcGIS Desktop Product Life Cycle. This was a maintenance release only and does not include new functionality. This update does not extend the ArcGIS 10.8.x product life cycle. Esri does not have plans to release an ArcMap 10.9. The ArcMap Continued Support page, will be able to answer your questions regarding continued support of ArcMap as well as contains resources to help you transition your work moving forward into several Esri products such as ArcGIS Pro.

Map of the Month: Wenco Wifi Signal Strength—Option 4
Maintaining a stable wireless connection between dispatch and haul trucks is critical for monitoring performance and maximizing both operator and fuel efficiency. A visibility analysis was conducted in ArcGIS Pro to identify potential dead zones in wifi coverage. Adding in the 3D distance to the towers showed areas that did have coverage but had weak signals due to the distance to the nearest visible tower. Several options for improved configurations were tested using this approach and this map represents the optimal tower configuration. Locations were selected to maximize visibility and signal strength along major haul roads and to maintain reliable coverage, with redundancy, in critical areas of the mine.
Community Map of Canada - Style of the Month: "Fall is Here"
You'll "fall in love" with the cozy colours and leafy symbology of this custom basemap style! Created by Community Map of Canada GIS Analyst Claudia Zhou using the ArcGIS Vector Tile Style Editor, this basemap style makes use makes use of colourful leaf symbology for highways, cities and different countries. The custom colour palette used in the basemap mimics the vibrant colours of the Canadian landscape at this time of year - oranges, yellows, reds and greens. Check out the Style of the Month Gallery to see the Community Map of Canada applied to all four seasons and other seasons of design!
