Updates to the Imagery Basemap
Two Canadian updates to the imagery base map this week.
There were two Canadian updates to the imagery base map on ArcGIS Online this week. The first comes from Leduc, AB, home to about 24,000 people and the Leduc No. 1 oil well that marked the beginning of the modern oil industry in Alberta. The imagery does not cover the well site but does include the city and the immediate surrounding countryside, including most of the Edmonton International Airport.

The other contribution comes from Vernon, BC, a slightly larger city of 44,000 located in the interior of British Columbia, nestled between lakes and mountains. Just like Leduc, it has contributed 10 cm imagery from 2013 to the imagery base map.
