Summer is my favorite time of year to learn. It’s when our minds are naturally more relaxed, and the long days provide us with more energy, allowing us to assimilate new information with less effort. While warm weather is making its way here, I encourage you to consider taking at least one of the following new courses to advance your skills and boost your organization’s efficiencies.
If you’re ready to start improving the way your organization’s physical assets are managed but feel overwhelmed by the task at hand, this new course was developed to support organizations like yours.
You’ll learn the basic concepts surrounding this part of your business and start your journey of building a location-centric asset management inventory from scratch or by improving an existing one, while keeping in mind the possibilities and best practices that can make a difference in the long run.
This course is intended for anyone responsible or involved in the process of starting a GIS- centric asset management strategy, including inventory, within your organization.
It will provide comprehensive information about how the ArcGIS platform can be used to gather, create, structure and update asset location and condition information within your organization; maintain accurate data that’s easily accessible and dynamically shareable for faster turnaround times between the field and the office and between stakeholders and decision-makers.

These courses will help administrators learn about ArcGIS Enterprise best practices for managing servers, data and services while ensuring system performance over time are covered. You’ll also learn how to fine-tune complex deployments to achieve security and efficiency.
For new system administrators: ArcGIS Enterprise: Administration Workflows
This course replaces the “ArcGIS for Server: Site Configuration and Administration” course we offered for many years. The newest release of this course was developed on a more recent version of ArcGIS Enterprise (10.6.1 and above) and covers similar concepts essential to administrators of such systems but also touches on using scripts to automate the administration tasks and configure distributed collaboration between multiple portals.
